New in Your AWeber Account: Updated Broadcast Archive, Curate 1.2, More Tagging Options

Kicking back on the beach? Riding some wild coasters? Cracking open a cool beverage?

Not us! Our team has been busy gearing up for your summertime sending, and we have plenty of awesome new features to show for it.

Let’s take a look at some of our top releases from last month.

Broadcast Archive gets a fresh design and new features

Our Broadcast Archive, which allows you to host a copy of your broadcast emails on the web, has been updated with a more modern design as well as a more responsive mobile experience. This update is crucial as email engagement on mobile continues to rise.

Use the slider below to check out the difference:

Pro-tip: Any broadcasts sent from our Curate app will automatically generate an archive link within your message.

Here’s how to generate the link using our drag-and-drop editor:

Don’t forget: you can also automatically share your Broadcast Archive through Twitter or Facebook right from your AWeber account. Your archive has a signup form on it, so this could be a great destination to attract new subscribers.

Curate 1.2 introduces new features and Markdown support

With the release of Curate, we’ve made it easier than ever to create engaging email newsletters from your mobile devices.

Not sure what to write? Discover relevant content from around the web and share it with your subscribers.

Traveling or on-the-go? Curate lets you share content from around the web with your subscribers from your mobile device, without cracking open your laptop or dusting off the old PC.

Since releasing Curate, we’ve listened carefully to the feedback of our customers to deliver the features you need.

You can now reorder curated content blocks with a simple long press and drag motion. This makes customizing your newsletter a breeze.

You can also easily style your content, adding headings, images and links, using a syntax called Markdown. We’ve added a nifty cheat sheet in the app to get you started.

Pro-tip: You don’t always have to include curated content to send a broadcast with Curate. Just tap a quick note for your subscribers, preview and send away.

We take automation to the next level with tags

A top priority at AWeber is to deliver sophisticated automation tools with an anyone-can-use interface. With that, we’re delivering regular new features to our automation platform, Campaigns.

Tagging by webform and custom fields

We recently introduced the ability to tag subscribers by web form as well as custom field selections within webforms. This update allows you to deliver custom automated campaigns based on your subscribers’ selections.

Want to deliver an educational welcome series for beginners, and advanced content for masters? You can do that with tags. Want to serve a specific series of emails when a subscriber opts into a course, or to receive a free incentive, like an ebook. Yup, you can do that with tags.

Tags can now be applied to “already-subscribed” subscribers

In June, we released an update to tags that allows subscribers to opt in to the same list and have new tags added to their subscriber record. Now, you can create multiple automated campaigns in one list and have subscribers opt-in to receive multiple offers, series, and more.

You no longer have to set up multiple lists to manage multiple follow up series and deliver multiple opt-in incentives. This is especially valuable if you have frequent events, webinars or community challenges. Subscribers can simply opt in for the new incentive and receive a new campaign triggered from the new tag.

We’re already seeing customers take advantage of this feature in creative and sophisticated ways. To learn more about setting up tags with campaigns, visit these knowledge base articles.
